McLaren P1 consumption exceeds predictions



McLaren confirm two thirds of the production of the 375 top P1 supercar has been consumed.
McLaren P1 uses a twin-turbo 3.8L engine and KERS system to generate a total output of 903 horsepower and 900Nm of torque

"We have overcome these goals and still 500 prospect list," a director of McLaren revealed to Autocar magazine. Number of vehicles sold, for a total of up to about 250 units, mainly in the markets of Europe, America and Middle East.


The number of cars sold in Europe reached its peak when the exhibition took place in Geneva in May 3/2013, but recent efforts to sell P1 has moved from McLaren to the U.S. homeland and the Middle East, the two markets the consumption of a global campaign.

McLaren hope the next step in the journey towards Asian consumption will find buyers for the remaining 100 samples P1, with a $ 28 billion USD / pcs. The rivals including McLaren P1 LaFerrari and the Porsche 918.
