Located at the eastern edge of Tennessee, 6,643 feet high, Clingmans Dome is the highest point along the 2,172-mile long trail. Enveloped in the Smoky National Park are more than 4,000 species of plants, 230 species of birds and 65 species of mammals.
From atop Clingmans Dome, the hand can walk to observe the wild panorama below as it was 100 years ago, the overlapping flaps jungle, creating a mysterious look and urge the curious discovery of man.
