McLaren put into force a new supercar project

Following the introduction of the MP4-12C supercar and P1, the British automaker is focusing on a new car, be it P13.

Only a year later, the convertible version of the MP4-12C Spider. Most recently, strong P1 supercar was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Therefore, there is already some information about its next blockbuster in 2014, could be the rival of Porsche 911.
In an interview with the news site AutoWeed.nl, Project Director of McLaren Paul MacKenzie said, thanks to the advanced technology to reduce production costs, project P13 supercar will be manufactured with materials Optimal today, including the use of carbon-fiber chassis.
Meanwhile, the power supply for the car can block 3.8-liter V8 supercharged similar to the MP4-12C supercar and P1, to bring the power of 500 horsepower. This helps the engine power completely P13 can compete with the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT2.
