Mazda CX-5 "made in China" will be significantly cheaper


When produced in China, Mazda CX-5 will be accompanied by lower prices of about 15%.

Yen exchange rate increased by causing difficulties for Japanese automakers, including Mazda. To cope with this situation, Mazda assembly line to move more cars from Japan and put in the other country like China.

Until now, the Mazda CX-5 is the Chinese way of imports. However, things will change from June until start assembling Mazda CX-5 here in China.



According to news site Autoevolution, Japanese small crossover will be produced at the plant Chang'am-Mazda joint venture. Before the assembly line in China, Mazda CX-5 will debut in consumer Shanghai 2013 exhibition cars.

Some sources say, the Mazda CX-5 production in China will be 15% cheaper. Vehicle is equipped with two petrol engine options with a capacity of 2.0 and 2.5 liters.

In particular, 4-cylinder engine, 2.0 liter capacity producing maximum power 155 horsepower. SKYACTIV Engine 4-cylinder, 2.5 liter capacity is borrowed from the new generation Mazda6 generate maximum power 184 hp and maximum torque of 185 lb-ft.

2.0-liter engine will combine with gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.5-liter petrol power transmitted to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
