Maserati Ghibli: challenger BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class

 

Italian luxury car brand Maserati has released more images and preliminary information on vehicles Ghibli 2014.

Under the bonnet Maserati Ghibli 2014 is equipped with a turbocharged V6 3.0L V6 with 400 hp and 3.0-liter turbodiesel. In addition, the car is expected to use performance V8 Twin-Turbo 3.8L. All engine variants the Maserati Ghibli will be connected with the eight-speed automatic transmission developed by ZF.

When available on the market early next year, Maserati Ghibli 2014 will compete with the opponents stunned in the same segment as the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Italian carmaker aims to sell 50,000 Ghibli vehicles per year.
