Jota Racing launched Vantage GT2 Aston Martin racing driver


- Aston Martin Vantage GT2 race car of Jota Racing will compete in the GT2 class race in 2013.
When the engineers designed the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT2 few years ago, this race car was built with the goal of competing in the GT2 class race. Jota Racing, a racing team and is also partner of Aston Martin since the two companies signed a contract back in 2010, allowing the use Jota Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT2 racing in that race teams .
Recently, the Aston Martin Racing Jota and demonstrated their relationship by announcing new GT2 racing car for the 2013 season, the Vantage GT2.
This race car was developed from the V8 Vantage. The car is built to the specifications prescribed by such GT2 racing chassis and body structure Aluminium, systematic anti-roll cage frame steel strength. Only the roof of the race car is built from lightweight carbon fiber.
Also, the car is also equipped with a package of additional aerodynamic, carbon fiber front bumper low and wide, the system was extended rear diffuser, rear up like beveled design wing elbows , the tail is also made from carbon fiber. Along with the removal of all excess equipment, the Vantage GT2 weighs just 1,175 kg, slightly higher than the minimum weight of 1,150 kg according to FIA regulations.
This race car remains the engine block of the V8 Vantage, Aston Martin Racing Jota just proceed and adjust the motor system of the vehicle, with the new crankshaft, the cylinder head, connecting systems, intake valves and camshafts, along with electronic system controls the engine and exhaust system racing. All help block V8 engine with cylinder capacity of 4,475 cc car can generate power 450 hp, 500 Nm of torque. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed gearbox, combined with the shift lever under the steering wheel.
