Ford Escort can be sold in Europe

                                                                                        

It is likely that the production version of the Ford Escort concept can be sold in European markets, except Britain.

Escort concept officially unveiled at the 2013 Shanghai auto show opened last week and at that time, Ford said it represents a model dedicated to the Chinese market.

However, in a newspaper interview with Auto Express, a senior official of the company said that Ford still internal discussions about bringing Escort to Europe by the opportunities at cheap sedan segment remains open .

Meanwhile, president of Ford UK, Mark Ovenden Escort initial emphasis is devoted to China, but then it can be shipped elsewhere in Eastern Europe, such as Ireland or Portugal.

Escort was first introduced in 1967 and production stopped in 2003. Thanks to cheap and attractive appearance, Escort achieved sales of more than 20 million units and became one of the 10 best selling cars of all time.
