The German element in the asphalt used car
- Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW is currently being investigated for using a name Bitumen asphalt in car production in China.
Management Center substandard products from China (DPAC) has opened an investigation into a series of cars produced in their own country after discovering the muffler pads are made from a toxic asphalt name Bitumen. Among automakers stick to the investigation, including the famous German brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.

"Mercedes-Benz ensures the customer is not using the harmful materials to produce health car. We will cooperate with the authorities to clarify the matter," agency spokesman Mercedes-Benz announced in an interview with China Daily.
If DPAC found a harmful compounds are used to reduce noise and vibration in automotive China, the manufacturers involved will be punished severely and recalls. China is now encouraging people found underneath the floor mat Bitumen to inform DPAC.
