BMW to produce cars in China to the world
- Together with partner Brilliance, BMW will set the label to produce and distribute cars in some markets outside of China.
BMW and Brilliance to partners from China has officially confirmed plans to export the car to be assembled at its joint venture plant in several markets worldwide. Accordingly, BMW and Brilliance to set up the brand to produce and distribute vehicles.
Speaking to Automotive News, said Ian Robertson, director of sales and global marketing of BMW, Brilliance said they and the company decided to sell the car is assembled in China to market that are best suited. They are considering a number of emerging markets. In addition, Mr. Robertson also want to export cars assembled in China to Europe.
If attacking the old continent market, the cars of the brand will be alternatives to conventional BMW product line. The goal of the new brand to compete with the corporate brand Qoros Chery.
According to news site Leftlanenews, BMW will mark the official launch of the 2013 car exhibition held in Shanghai last April. Some rumors leaked from Chinese media said the brands of BMW and Brilliance will be called Nuo Zhi.
In Chinese, Zhi Nuo means equivalent to the word "promise". Expected Zhi Nuo will produce gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles based on the BMW 3-Series or the latest generation X1.
