- GTE racing Z4 is BMW Motorsport developed specifically to participate in the American Le Mans Series races in 2013.
Racing Team RLL BMW M3 was selected to participate in GT racing class in the American Le Mans Series race in four years, and has won the rushing title in 2012. This year, the team switched to the Z4 GTE, the car is said to be "all things necessary to be successful."
Developed from the BMW Z4 GT3, Z4 GTE was developed specifically for the American Le Mans Series races in 2013, and will be further refined to attend the American Le Mans Series season in 2014. In the American Le Mans Series season in 2013, the BMW Z4 GTE will be driven by three racers Bill Auberlen, Joey Hand and Dirk Mueller.
The race will officially participate in the first race next March 16, at the Sebring 12-hour race.
