"We again pass up the impressive results of the previous year and marked the best sales month in the company's history to date," Sales Manager of Mercedes-Benz, Joachim Schmidt, said in a statement given before the media.
According Leftlanenews, in March, sales of Mercedes-Benz has risen 6.5% over the same period in 2012, and thereby helping the luxury car company achieved sales of 324 898 vehicles sold in the 1st quarter Today, this is a record of Mercedes-Benz.
Although the European economy is still facing numerous difficulties, but Mercedes-Benz has achieved growth in this market. During the quarter, sales of Mercedes-Benz increased 3.9% compared to Q1 2012, with 81 219 vehicles sold. The growth of Mercedes-Benz has been primarily due to growth in the UK and Belgium, and its sales in Germany fell slightly.
North American and Asian markets continues to be the strongest growth of Mercedes-Benz. In the U.S., sales of Mercedes-Benz's first quarter rose 13%, helped Mercedes-Benz to become the number one luxury brand in the U.S.. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz sales in Japan were up 12%, Korea 16%, Taiwan 16% and increased to 37% in Australia.
Mercedes-Benz also added that the company's growth in North America was primarily due SUVs, and other markets in the compact family car line A-Class and B-Class. Although the A-Class cars and B-Class has not been brought to the U.S., but the two cars sales have increased by 50% in the first quarter of 2013, with 77 044 vehicles sold.
