GM to invest $ 332 million to produce engines and gearboxes

General Motors (GM) has key plans to invest U.S. $ 332 million engine development and fuel-saving gear.
 
This budget will be distributed to 4 factories: Bedford (Indiana), Toledo (Ohio), Bay City (Michigan) and Flint (Michigan). The amount of investment will be used to develop Ecotec gasoline engine capacity smaller, V6 engine and automatic transmission 8 levels.

 $ 215 million of the total amount will be spent for the Flint plant, which produces the new Ecotec engine, while 55.7 million for the Toledo plant to develop 8-speed automatic transmission equipped on grant GM cars end of 2016.

For Bay City, GM investment amount is U.S. $ 31.7 million to produce parts for the new Ecotec engine and V6. The remaining $ 29.4 million will be spent for Bedford to produce spare parts for the engine and automatic transmission 8 levels.
