GM set a new record for sales in China

In September, a new sales record for General Motors was formed in the China market. The largest U.S. car company sold 244,266 vehicles in China last September, this is the highest sales that GM ever achieved in the world's most populous market.

With 244,266 vehicles sold in September, GM has a growth rate of 1.7% compared to the same period in 2011, and increased 10.5% compared to sales in August of GM.

Joint venture in which GM's Shanghai-GM sold 120,010 vehicles in September, up 3.7%. Chevrolet brand also grew 3.2% in September, with 56,166 vehicles sold, a record of this brand.

Joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 119,510 vehicles in September, up 0.4 percent from the same period in 2011.

GM's most expensive brands in the Chinese market Buick, with 62,120 vehicles sold, an increase of 1.8%. In contrast, sales of luxury brand Cadillac has dropped to 8.3% in September last.

Through the first nine months of the year, the total number of vehicles GM sold in China is 2,081,812 units, a growth rate of 10% compared to the same period in 2011.
