GM recalled more than 69,000 SUVs and vans
- GM has ordered the withdrawal of more than 69,000 cars two bridges and vans by the brake cables off the steering column and error led to the car still rolling after parking.
According to the road traffic safety management United States (NHTSA), the reasons for the above error can be caused by the lock broken cable or a broken gear equipment.
GM last Friday said a lot of informed agents is still in stock most of the cars are said to be affected. However, until now, have not had any accidents or injuries related to this error.
GM said about 55,000 vehicles will be recalled in the U.S., 6,310 in Canada and 670 in Mexico and 7084 in other markets.
Vehicles affected include some 2013 models such as the Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT and Escalade ESV SUV; Chevrolet Express, Silverado, Avalanche pickup, Tahoe and Suburban SUV, GMC Savanna, Sierra pickup, Yukon and Yukon XL SUV.
GM said the steering column will be replaced if necessary by the vehicle owner at no cost. Messages expected to be sent by mail to vehicle owners for information on recovered starting January 22.
