Manufacturer leading Chinese auto company Geely and Detroit Electric has signed a strategic partnership to jointly develop an electric car for the Chinese market. This information has been presented at the International Automobile Exhibition Shanghai.
Both partners studied electric models in 3 years time and will debut product called EC7-EV. Currently the specs have not been revealed but is expected EC7-EV will be powered by an electric motor, manual gearbox comes as a package and advanced battery cars can help move an average distance of 165 km.
In addition, EV-EC7 achieved promising acceleration time from 0 - 100 km less than 8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 200km / h.
Geely and Detroit Electric company expected to sell about 3,000 units EC7-EV in the first year on the market and 30,000 units in the first 3 years.
