Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 will have new rivals from Dodge

- Variations of the Challenger cars can be called Barracuda, but it will take a few more years to be put into production vehicles.
The Chevrolet launched the Camaro Z/28, the latest variant of the Chevrolet muscle cars, seems to have made the Chrysler Group officials think. Chrysler currently has a Dodge Challenger, however the car is too heavy and inherently Challenger are not competitors of the Chevrolet Camaro or Ford Mustang, muscle cars, beautiful and modern.
However, according to MotorTrend, a rival of the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 could be developed, but Chrysler will have to do quite a bit of work to realize the car, and to compete with the Camaro Z/28.
It will be a new variant of the Challenger, a vehicle focused optimize weight, upgraded brakes and suspension, as well as get a improved version of the 392 Hemi V8 6.4 liter , engine block currently has a capacity of 470 hp and 636 Nm of torque. The power of the car to be upgraded, and if this is not enough, do not exclude the possibility that Chrysler will take 8.4-liter V10 engine is equipped on the Dodge Viper SRT Challenger. That would be a the unique Challenger, and will be priced significantly higher.
However, according to Carscoop, the ability to Dodge Challenger is equipped with V10 engine is very low.
In addition, if you want to keep the name the company philosophy is applied to the Viper, new cars can be called the Challenger TA. However, the amount of factory car will not stop at 33 like Viper TA.
Another possibility is the Dodge can restore the Barracuda name to apply for variation of the Dodge Challenger. However, according to the head of SRT Ralph Gilles, the new Barracuda needs a few more years. And so, even long official new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 competition from Chrysler and Dodge.
