Atlas Concept for Future Vehicle enthusiasts pickup

The car is very beautiful and graceful and modern at the same time provide future trends. Certainly will the believers to conquer the American-style pickups
Atlas Concept Ford has shown a clear intention unobtrusive design, capacity, fuel efficiency and special attention to the smart technology will shape the pickups in the future. Raj Nair, Ford group vice president in charge of global product development, has been rated "Concept Ford Atlas shows before the new view will change what customers expect from pickups".

Particularly surprising is the Ford pickup for bulky mounting on the engine "super savings" EcoBoost V6 3.5 liter capacity only, combined with auto stop / start the engine (Auto Start-Stop ) for pickup. But the company said this engine has the power equivalent to V8 power 365 hp, maximum torque of 569Nm is using the F-150 but the fuel consumption to less than 20%.

In addition, Atlas concept also reduce fuel consumption through a series of aerodynamic plans to reduce wind resistance. These include active shutter arranged behind the grille, can automatically open when engine cooling is required and closes when the car runs okay on the road to improved aerodynamic features. This information is also being used on the new Ford Focus in Vietnam. Front bumper diffuser can proactively lowered to improve the flow of air under the car, electric stairs, poking out automatically when the door opens and retracts to increase aerodynamics and chassis space car.

Atlas Concept also features heavy material technology including: Backup Trailer Assist will automatically backing trailers into place; system supports connectivity with Hitch Assist Dynamic trailers, using sensors to automatically adjust the connected to the first trailers through central screen; Atlas is also pickups Ford's first equipped with surveillance cameras 360 º to help locate the exact location of the vehicle bulky approaching obstacles .

Headlights, taillights and the light of the Atlas barrel are applied LED technology. One point is worth noting that both the Atlas concept used lightweight materials such as aluminum, or even composite.

So when Ford launched the Atlas concept, GM opponents certainly will not worry. But the Japanese manufacturers such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda's new real headache. Because they are the underdogs and struggling in the segment-size pickups in the U.S., the cars are already quite old in terms of design and technology.
