Cadillac CTS 2014 with new engine

Twin-Turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine on the new Cadillac CTS will have a maximum capacity of 426 horsepower.
According to information posted on Carscoop, the 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan will be officially unveiled at the New York International Auto Show 2013, which takes place next week.
Currently based in Detroit carmaker has not announced any official pictures of the CTS Sedan, but it can reveal details about the product line and the engine on the car, which notably with Twin-Turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine, combined with the eight-speed automatic gearbox. These are all equipped with first appeared on a Cadillac.
"Cadillac's new twin-turbo engine brings a new dimension of performance and advanced technology on the 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan," said David Leone, Cadillac chief engineer, said. "Providing the power and sophistication, it marks a major step forward in the expansion of product-oriented development of the Cadillac."
New engine uses turbo system instead of larger single turbo system, get the CTS Sedan 426 hp, maximum torque 583 Nm. This is the most powerful V6 engine block ever made by General Motors.
According to Cadillac, the new V6 engine block achieve power ratio / cylinder capacity of 118 hp / liter, which means this engine produced more power than the 3.0-liter engine capacity of 300 hp BMW 535i, or 4.4-liter V8 engine of the BMW 550i, two car power ratio / cylinder capacity is 100 hp / liter and 91 bhp / liter.
This engine combined with the eight-speed automatic transmission helps the 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan can accelerate from 0-96 km / h in 4.6 seconds, top speed is estimated at 274 km / h.
At the New York International Auto Show 2013, Cadillac will launch the CTS Sedan equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6, with 321 horsepower and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a capacity of 272 horsepower. Both have additional optional four-wheel drive system.
With the release of V6 Twin-Turbo 3.6-liter 426 horsepower, the car will be equipped with rear wheel drive system. This sedan can complete 100 km in the city with 13.8 liters of gasoline, and on the highway with the 9.4-liter petrol.
While the corresponding figure of two 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and rear wheel drive system is 12.4 ltr per 100 km and 7.8 ltr per 100 km, with a 2.0 liter engine versions combined transmission system four-wheel drive, performance corresponding fuel consumption is 13 ltr per 100 km and 8.4 ltr per 100 km.
Cadillac CTS engine naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 combined rear wheel transmission system needs 12.4 liters of gasoline to travel 100 km in town and 8.4 liters of gasoline to travel 100 km on the highway. The number corresponding to the four-wheel-drive system is 13 ltr per 100 km and 8.7 ltr per 100 km.
