Audi and BMW to enhance diesel engine in the U.S.

 
Two German luxury car manufacturer has announced plans to diversify the product line to use diesel engines in the U.S. market.

At the New York Motor Show 2013 is taking place, said Scott Keogh, Audi's CEO has said version A6, A7 and Q5 2014 will be equipped with diesel engines. Currently, 50% of A3 cars sold in the U.S. use diesel, while the number of Q7 is 36%.

Meanwhile, Ludwig Willisch, leadership BMW North America also mentioned the diesel engine will be available on all products within the next five years.

Based on the needs of the American consumer, the wagon version of the 3-Series and 5-Series diesel engine will be in the third quarter of this year. In addition, beginning in 2014, the 7-Series and X3 will also be equipped with diesel engines.
