- Kia Forte Koup 2014 is currently on display at the New York International Auto Show 2013, and will be available later this year.
At the New York International Auto Show 2013, Kia unveiled the final variant in the 2014 Forte lineup, the Kia Forte Koup, after released the Forte Sedan in Los Angeles Auto Show 2012, and the Forte Hatchback at the Chicago Auto Show 2012 .
According to Carscoop, that rival cars from Korea towards the construction of the Forte Koup is the Honda Civic Coupe. Kia Forte Koup was designed at Kia's design office in California, and will be sold in the U.S. in the fourth quarter of this year with two equipment levels including EX and SX, with two engine variants and transmission system, similar to the "brothers" of its hatchback.
The Kia Forte Koup EX is equipped with 2.0-liter GDI engine, with a capacity of 173 hp, maximum torque 209 Nm, this power is combined with the standard six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive system .
Meanwhile sports version, the Kia Forte Koup SX is equipped with GDI turbocharged 1.6-liter with 201 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque. This version is equipped with six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed automatic transmission, with the actuating lever mounted under the steering wheel.
Kia says it has made adjustments on the suspension Forte Koup, with reset at the McPherson front suspension and multi-link design spiral in the back, in order to improve eh compared to processing sedan and hatchback. Kia Forte Koup EX is equipped with tires in size 205/55 ZR16, while the Kia Forte Koup SX is equipped with tires in size 225/40 ZR18.
