Volkswagen recall 384,181 vehicles in the Chinese market due to transmission errors


Volkswagen has announced the recall of 384,181 cars in China to fix technical issues related to the transmission.

This is the largest recall ever of Volkswagen in the world's biggest car market, according to AFP.

The cause was determined to be due to electronic failure can cause the car to lose power while operating. Meanwhile, the China Central Television (CCTV) reported that Volkswagen has used the gearbox does not qualify in some type of car, causing abnormal acceleration and can lead to accidents.

This recall involves models such as Passat, Golf, Touran, Scirocco, Bora, Sagitar, and many other models are joint ventures with domestic manufacturers, especially for imported cars A3 is built from 2/2010 to 6/2011.

Volkswagen says it will upgrade and replace software free gearbox parts of the affected vehicles.
