Volkswagen Golf VII won the "Car of the Year" in Europe

 Overcoming-class competitors such as the Toyota GT 86 / Subaru BRZ or Volvo V40, 7th generation Volkswagen Golf has won the highest award of "Car of the Year" in Europe (ECOTY). This result has been announced ahead of the upcoming Geneva show.

Award ECOTY by 58 professional journalists in the field of automobiles from all over the world voted. The Golf has conquered most of the judges for safety, fuel efficiency, performance, comfort and bring comfort to those who sit in the car.

As a result, Volkswagen Golf VII won 414 votes, more than double No. 2 rival Toyota GT86 / Subaru BRZ only 202 votes and Volvo V40 189 votes. Ranked No. 4 and No. 5 on Ford B-Max and Mercedes-Benz A Class with respectively 148 and 138 votes.
