70% of U.S. drivers distracted while driving


The latest research data show that most Americans still driving distracted, despite the warnings and strict punishment of government.

Nearly 70 percent of Americans admit phone use while driving, including 31% who say that they send emails or reading text messages while behind the wheel.


                                                      Phone use causes driver distraction

In Europe, Portugal is the national leader in the rate of driver distraction when driving with 59%, while the UK is the country with the lowest rate with 21%.

According to the National Safety Commission, phone use accounts for 24% of the 3.5 million injuries related to car accidents in the U.S. each year.
