Successful development of electric vehicle batteries "Super Life" ~ car loan

- Born to equip electric vehicles and energy storage and solar wind, a new lithium-ion batteries have a lifespan of over 25 years.

Scientists from the German Research Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Baden-Württemberg or abbreviated ZSW has successfully developed a new type of lithium-ion batteries. A special feature of the new battery is capable of maintaining 85% of initial capacity after 10,000 times full charge.

As is well known, the lithium-ion batteries currently used for electric and hybrid vehicles typically have a lifespan 10 years. Honda itself has long been used nickel-hydride batteries with metal "premature" for its hybrid vehicles.

Born to equip electric vehicles and energy storage and solar wind, a new lithium-ion batteries have a lifespan of over 25 years, including being charged per day. This is the "life cycle" much longer than any other part on the current line of electric vehicles.

In addition, a new lithium-ion batteries is the energy density owns 1,100 W / kg. Figures 3 times the energy density of most of modern lithium-ion batteries.

Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as well as Economics and Technology of Germany (BMWi) has invested capital for project development of new lithium-ion battery. According to Green Car Congress, a new lithium-ion batteries will first be applied in a German car.

However, it took a few years, lithium-ion batteries "Super Life" be put into mass production. If widely used, new batteries will help manufacturers as well as public opinion can fresh look at longevity and durability of the average electric vehicles.
