BMW started construction vehicle testing center in Korea ~ car loan



As part of the development strategy in the Korean market, in early June last automaker BMW has officially started construction vehicle test center at Yeongjong with total investment of more than $ 62 million. It is the center's first test BMW cars are built in Asia.

On 4/6, the German automaker has made groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the first vehicle test center in Asia. This center is located in Korea and is expected to welcome more than 200,000 visitors each year, is expected to be completed in 2014.


Test Center BMW is investing 70 billion won ($ 62.05 million) is located on the campus of 240,000 square meters at the Incheon Yeongjong island, 40km from the capital Seoul to the west. Here, visitors will get to test drive the BMW and Mini cars on the test track has a length of 2.6 km with 6 round run.


Mr Hendrik von Kuenheim - Director of BMW Asia, Oceania and South Africa, said: "Events such as the construction of this center is an opportunity for us to rebuild its importance as a market in Korea first case in Asia rather than in other major markets such as China or Japan.                                         Leaders see BMW test center car models will be built



Sales of BMW cars in the Korean market has increased 3 fold since 2009 as having advantages of free trade, this will continue to grow in the coming months. This has placed before the Hyundai car company competitive situation and was forced to sell many more cars in the market.
