- The upgrade of the Audi R8 GT supercar will be unveiled next weekend at Le Mans.
According to the latest information given Autocar, luxury car company reputation from Germany will launch the R8 GT Plus at the end of next week, and the launch vehicle will be held on the sidelines of the race at Le Mans.
Audi R8 GT Supercar currently equipped 5.2-liter V10 engine, with a maximum capacity of 560 horsepower, 540 Nm of torque. Almost certainly the Audi R8 GT Plus will receive improvements in engine power and performance of the vehicle will be improved over the 2011 version of the R8 GT.
According to Autocar, the R8 GT Plus version equipped with rear-wheel-drive system will be equipped with six-speed manual gearbox, while versions equipped with four-wheel drive system will be equipped with dual-clutch gearbox with seven level.
With this gearbox, Audi R8 GT supercar Plus can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 3.4 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor. The maximum speed of the vehicle can remain at 320 km / h.
A roadster variant of the Audi R8 GT Plus will probably be released in 2014, and the car will have higher performance than the current R8 GT Spyder. The Audi R8 GT Spyder needs 3.8 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, maximum speed 317 km / h.
According to Autocar, the two versions of the Audi R8 GT Plus will be produced in limited quantities in car number 333, similar to its predecessor.
