Cadillac ELR: Appears to rumors used engine China

According to unofficial sources, GM along with partner corporations Shanghai Automotive Industry (SAIC) will produce engines for the Cadillac ELR.
Cadillac ELR is an electric luxury coupe with many good points to look forward to. But nearly a year the car will start to be sold out, but so far the controversy and speculation about what will be on Cadillac ELR has not yet ended.
According to information posted on Edmunds, General Motors may be looking for an alternative version of the engine 1.4-liter four-cylinder from the Chevrolet Volt. Version of this engine will be smaller and more fuel-efficient than the engine in the Volt.
A suggestion was made that is a version of three-cylinder engine with a cylinder capacity of 1.0 liters to 1.2 liters, GM is being considered, though this engine is not in the list of products GM. According to unofficial sources, GM together with its partners from China Automobile Industry Corporation Shanghai (SAIC), is currently developing a new type of engine.
However, most of the sources are skeptical that an engine was developed in China will be equipped on a Cadillac luxury car, and are manufactured in the United States. That is why to be able to predict the ability to use GM engine is its partner PSA Peugeot Citroen made.
Late December, GM and PSA Peugeot Citroen made the announcement to cooperate and develop three-cylinder engine, with a cylinder capacity of 1.0 liters and 1.2 liters, based and current version of the EB is been manufacturing PSA Peugeot Citroen.
Should be added that GM has not yet made a decision to change the engine on the Cadillac ELR, and GM is not tilted on the ability to use the product for its strategic future. But one thing is sure GM and all the car manufacturers are looking to improve the fuel economy of all vehicles the company sold.
